PACE strives to revive the various traditional Palestinian handicrafts by encouraging handicraftsmen and women, and especially rural areas and refugee camps, to use the ancient crafts that have been transmitted to them from previous generations. In addition to preserving this precious heritage the goal of PACE is to provide support to Palestinians in marginalized communities in the West Bank so that they may be able produce handicrafts such as embroidered articles, pottery, baskets, jewelry, olive oil soap and carpets to generate income for their families. Besides the numerous local and international exhibits to promote and develop Palestinian handicrafts PACE has in 2001 started its own permanent exhibition of traditional arts and handicrafts. The exhibit supports a number of women's cooperatives in different part of the West Bank. The exhibit is located on the ground floor of PACE’s office in al-Bireh. It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. daily. It offers a wide range of Palestinian handicrafts
